What am I selling?
Awhile back I built my own electric guitar. When it came time to put my name on the instrument I took a stab at making my own decal inspired by the old Fender script. I got a lot of positive comments on how it turned out and people started asking for my help in designing their own decals.
There is no font for the old 1950's "spaghetti-script". I had to hand draw each letter (on the computer), and invent most of the alphabet to match the existing few letters found in that classic Fender logo.
I don't have an ALPS printer. So I cooked up a method of printing the black line art on a laser printer, soaking and flipping the decal. Letting it dry, and then filling the logo script with metallic enamel model paint.
It's a low-tech method, but the results are high quality. The laser printed decals are razor sharp and rich black. No visible pixels, no dots. Just smooth black lines and sharp, clean type.
Once I've received payment I can usually have the decal designed within a week. At that point I'll send you a jpg and you can request any (reasonable) edits to the letter-forms. Then, once it's all worked out and you are happy with how it looks I can usually have them printed and shipped in another weeks time, sometimes two weeks.
Note: I ONLY do custom decals with your own name, or your own brand. I won't make any Fender decals under any circumstances.
